The Department of Pregnancy Pathology was founded on May 24, 2011.

The department has 45 beds and is located on the 6th floor of the six-storey obstetric building of the GBUZ RM "Mordovian Republican Central Clinical Hospital".

The department includes 13 double wards and 8 triple wards. Each bed is functionally individual. The wards are equipped with a sanitary unit and a shower cabin. The department has superior rooms with a refrigerator and a TV. The dining room is spacious, with a convenient arrangement of tables and a buffet, with a microwave oven. The obstetric department provides 4 meals a day.

The Department of Pregnancy Pathology conducts examination and inpatient treatment of pregnant women, as well as preparation for delivery of women belonging to a high group of maternal and perinatal risk, having various complications of pregnancy and extragenital pathology:

• Preeclampsia
• Threatening premature birth
• Placental disorders and fetal growth retardation syndrome

• Congenital and acquired heart defects (including after surgical correction).

The Department of Pathology of Pregnancy of the MRCCB Perinatal Center conducts treatment and examination of various diseases at terms from 22 weeks of gestation.

The expectant mother is hospitalized at the direction of the doctor of the women's consultation.

Pregnant women at the age of 40-41 weeks of pregnancy are subject to hospitalization for the purpose of examination and resolution of the issue of labor management tactics. In case of delayed pregnancy, it is very important to assess the nature of amniotic fluid. To this end, the doctors of the department perform amnioscopy - an endoscopic examination of the nature of amniotic fluid through an intact wall of the fetal bladder using an amnioscope. The color of the amniotic fluid indicates the presence or absence of fetal intrauterine hypoxia, which requires urgent delivery!

The department is equipped with the most modern equipment - cardiotocographs, an amnioscope, a portable fetal doppler, which are used to diagnose various types of pregnancy pathology, which allows timely prescribing the necessary treatment.

Fetal condition monitoring is carried out using high-tech methods: cardiotocography, Dopplerography, fetal heartbeat monitoring, as well as fetometry of the fetus, during which the size and weight of the fetus are measured, the condition of the placenta and the anatomy of the fetal structure are determined.

They possess all methods of diagnosis and treatment of various obstetric pathologies, provision of planned and emergency medical care to pregnant women, high technology of obstetric and gynecological operations, provision of benefits during childbirth.

Senior midwife of the department:Kozyutina Tatyana Andreevna has the first category. Work experience is 10 years.

The department employs 10 midwives on duty and 2 procedural nurses.
